who we are

Chancen

Rwanda

Founded in Kigali in 2018, Chancen Rwanda is where our work began. We partner with leading Rwandan universities and training institutes to finance the education of young people who would otherwise be left behind. Since then, we've supported over 8,000 Rwandan students across health, engineering, business and technology — most of them women, and many from rural communities.

Meet our Foundation Council

The Chancen Member Foundation Council is a group of elected members (Chancen students and graduates) who work together to represent the voices of the Chancen community and support the development of impactful initiatives. The Council plays an active role in shaping and delivering community activities, gathering feedback and acting as a bridge between members and Chancen leadership to ensure needs and ideas are effectively reflected in decision-making. Council members also help design and deliver key community activities, which include office hours, Q&A sessions with members, Campus Chronicles, job board updates, and monthly upskilling sessions, among others. Through these initiatives, the Council fosters connection, learning, and opportunity within the Chancen community while continuously improving member engagement and support.
