Nicholas Meakin
Nick Meakin, is a financial inclusion and digital finance expert with over 16 years of experience across 5 African countries. He is currently the Senior Advisor for Digital and Financial Inclusion at Mercy Corps where he supports the design and implementation of impactful, quality digital and financial inclusion initiatives across Mercy Corps’ programs and helps guide agency and team strategy on financial and digital inclusion in Africa. Prior to this, he spent 10 years with Opportunity International, implementing and scaling up mobile and agency banking services throughout their Microfinance Institutions in Africa, latterly working as the Director of Digital Financial Services.
Nicholas Meakin is an internationally recognized expert in digital and financial inclusion with more than two decades of experience supporting financial institutions, investors, and development organizations across Africa and other emerging markets. He has played a leading role in the design and implementation of innovative digital solutions that increase access to financial services for underserved populations. Nicholas combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of governance, risk management, and sustainable growth, bringing valuable strategic insight to Chancen Africa HoldCo's mission of expanding access to opportunity through innovative financing models.
