Juanjo Mata

Juanjo Mata leads new technology development across the Chancen group as CTO of Chancen Tech, where he is responsible for the platforms that power the Chancen Companion product, as well as the group's broader technology strategy and AI adoption. A Silicon Valley veteran with more than 25 years of experience, he began his career at Netscape/Mozilla and Oracle before spending nearly a decade helping scale Redbooth, a SaaS collaboration company, from a Barcelona startup into a Silicon Valley business. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Microverse, a global online school for software developers funded entirely through Income Share Agreements — experience that sits at the exact intersection of technology and ISA-based education financing that Chancen Tech aims to serve. He has also founded and advised multiple startups and continues to mentor young technologists through community education initiatives. Juanjo holds degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
